Shorts Program 4 - Transitions. Phillip JosŽ Farmer once said, "Moving from here to there is travel, but moving from now towards the future is transition." This year, Cinequest is proud to present a program that proves his point. Showing the changes through passing up and moving on, Transitions is all about that which we find and that which we leave behind. There are arrivals in new lands, both by poor Albanian immigrants and by an eloquent African potentate. The heartbreak that comes from leaving one you love behind is explored through the relationship of two young British kids who can�t decide whether or not to work it out. Aliens travel through space in a time of war, and a couple of good ol� boys drive the roads to a new day. All that and a look at the shots we most likely ignored from 70s cop shows. From Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States, Transitions shows that we are all moving between things we will someday leave behind. Reviewed by Chris Garcia
