Jonny, Tuva and Magnus have known each other since they were kids. Now in their thirties, much has changed in their relationship, or, as Jonny puts it, "Many people believe that life in small towns is less complicated than in the big city. But it's not true. Life isn't complicated - it's complex." Truer words could not be spoken about this particular trio. Jonny is still Magnus' best friend, but Magnus is now married to Tuva, with whom he has a child. At the same time, Tuva is Jonny's mistress. Jonny isn't at all happy with the arrangement, and he would very much like to change things. He tells Tuva that he'd like to get serious.Shortly afterwards, Jonny is assaulted by an unknown attacker with a shovel. The mysterious attack is, however, just the beginning of a series of accidents and catastrophes of which Jonny is the victim. He is shot, his car smashed, his business sabotaged and, to add insult to injury, the bank refuses him a loan. But Jonny Vang is not one to give up without a fight...Director Jens Lien deftly crafts a playful and hilarious comedy, full of music and personality.
