Winner of numerous festival audience awards around the world, Morten Tyldum's Buddy is a heartwarming debut about friendship, love and fame and reminds us that it is always important to be honest and true to yourself. Twenty-four and carefree, Kristoffer works as a billboard hanger, is madly in love with his girlfriend, Elisabeth, and spends his time making a video diary about the many antics with his friends, Geir and Stig Inge. When Elisabeth gives him her apartment keys, the commitment scares Kristoffer, and he returns them. However, Kristoffer's life falls apart when Elisabeth dumps him for her boss. While Kristoffer tries to win Elisabeth back, Henriette moves in with the guys, and subtle sparks begin to fly between Kristoffer and her. There is, however, a roadblock in the form of Henriette's boyfriend.Meanwhile, success hits Kristoffer and friends when a television producer comes across his video diaries. Soon, the diaries are a featured segment on a television talk show, bringing minor celebrity status.
