The Mindbenders series showcases the more "out there" shorts that we receive. Sometimes controversial, sometimes comical, these are the shorts that leave you thinking, arguing, and on rare occasions, vomiting. One thing is certain, they are never boring. It's no wonder it is one of our most popular shorts series. Don't miss the films everyone will be talking about. And the ones that will no doubt cast the images that will linger indelibly in your mind long after the screenings are through.San Francisco's own Jay Rosenblatt's (The Smell of Burning Ants) newest film will be shown, as well as one of two short films that return filmmakers Greg Pak (last year's Mouse) has brought to the festival. Local filmmaker Mark Schwab will also be screening his latest, as will Lee Lanier who has, among other things, worked as an animator on the film ANTZ.Reviewed by Matthew Aquino
