Breaking up is hard to do as John finds out when he?s dumped by his already on-to-the-next-guy girlfriend, Ingrid. Meek and vulnerable, John is set upon by girls-next-door, Anne and Kim.

Anne and Kim?s flat is full of canned goods and jugs of water, as if they are expecting some sort of a siege. John is surprised that he has never met them before, while both women seem to know John and his ex-girlfriend, Ingrid, intimately. What soon follows is a surreal game of increasingly dangerous mind games where John crosses boundaries of which he never thought himself capable. His world becomes one in which it is impossible for John to separate lies from reality.

Norwegian writer/director Pål Sletaune cites Alfred Hitchcock as his greatest influence, and this gripping and involving psychosexual tale would no doubt please the master of suspense. A psychological thriller with strong sexual undertones, Next Door is about losing control over your desires, your will and your mind.
