An intense tour de force, Ambulance is a fast-paced thriller about Tim and Frank, desperate and in need of fast cash to save their dying mother. They decide to rob a bank in order to raise enough money, but things go horribly wrong, and when their getaway car is blocked by the police, they grab the first vehicle they can get their hands on. And keeping with their bad luck of the day, it happens to be an ambulance.

Fleeing from the scene of a crime in an ambulance may seem to be the epitome of pure folly. But the brothers encounter even more misfortune. They soon discover that they have unwillingly taken two hostages, a female paramedic intern and, worst of all, a dying heart patient. And from there the dilemma unfolds. Their choice is who to save: the money and their mother or someone they do not know.

Part comedy, part thriller and part romance, Laurits Munch-Petersen?s Ambulance is a roller coaster ride, not only in the chase scenes through Denmark, but also in the hearts of two men who want to do right, but just can?t decide what exactly is the right thing to do.
