The Dry Spell

Running Time: 74 mins

It?s been nearly two years since Josey has been with a woman and things are beginning to look bleak. Charisma and looks are seriously lacking, but Josey is determined to end the drought.

With coaching from his friends, Josey sets out to break his dry spell with his desperation knowing no limits of decency. Making it all worse is the memory of his ex-girlfriend, Julie. Josey would give anything to have her back, along with everything that used to annoy him. But will he go crawling back, or will he meet someone new despite the odds stacked against him?

Writer/Director John Erick Dowdle seamlessly blends film with video in his hilarious look at the dry side of the single life and just how desperate it gets when you?re not gettin' any. Josey narrates his entire story with a jazzy poetic rhythm that matches the beat of his missteps and weaves the story together from one failure to another. The Dry Spell is a wildly inventive comedy that leaves you thankful for every relationship you?ve had and not so scared of the next dry spell.
