Neslted in the far north of Sweden is the town of Ensamheten (Solitude). It is a town occupied by sixteen inhabitants, all of which are related, and all of which have a similar passion: armwrestling.

Heidi Andersson, four times a world champion, works during the day alongside her cousins and uncles in the fields. At night everyone helps with dinner and challenges each other to an arm wrestling match. Out of the sixteen members of Heidi?s family, ten are arm wrestlers. Heidi?s father supports her by setting up an arm wrestling stand outside for training, while traveling with Heidi to raise the finances needed for entering each competition.

Lisa Munthe and Helen Ahlsson?s The Armwrestler from Solitude follows Heidi as she trains for the Canada World Championships, preparing to go up against her toughest competitors yet: the Russian team. The spirit of friendship has taught Heidi that ?alone I am strong, I can go far; together we are stronger and go further.? Hers is a story full of warmth, energy and humor.
