On a summer evening, in the dark, stony streets of Tallinn, the ancient Estonian capital, four people ?witness? a mysterious murder. Yet, there is much more to this case than meets the eye?much, much more.

A beautiful young girl, Älis, has just had dessert with her brutal and possessive boyfriend in a café when he is suddenly shot outside. The only other people around are two men walking the street and a random pedestrian. A desperate woman, Evelin, trapped like a caged bird in her rich house and unhappy marriage, happens to be at the café and is soon involved in the murder?as is her husband, Harri, a police officer with a lot to hide, and the young Kristofer, who quickly becomes a suspect with Älis. But no one is telling the truth in this game, and no one is who he/she seems.
