Cinequest Screenwriting Competition Empowering the Maverick
Submissions are now being accepted for the Cinequest Screenwriting Competition. The deadline to submit is October 10, 2008 with a discounted entry fee to those who submit by July 31, 2008.
Festival expert Chris Gore named Cinequest one of the "best festivals for screenwriters" in the latest edition of his Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide (Testimonials).

All genres and lengths of screenplays (up to 125 pages) are accepted, from low-budget Indie dramas to mega-money flicks. The entry fee is USD $35 through July 31, 2008 and after that USD $40 through October 10, 2008. Don’t forget to read our official Competition Rules when submitting your script. Screenplay Finalists will be announced on January 07, 2009. Winners of the Cinequest Screenwriting Competition will be announced during Cinequest Film Festival 19.
