Opening Night - Eden Court - Cinequest Film Festival 2008

Stellar performances by Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!), Kimberly Williams-Paisley, (Father of the Bride) and Stephnie Weir (MADtv) make for a potent combination in the World Premiere of Paul Leuer’s sweet and funny tale of ambition, family and the difference a day makes.

Anxiety strikes Shroeder (Lennon) as he turns 30 in his trailer home—whatever happened to the young baseball player filled with so many dreams? Now mowing the lawn of the stadium where he once hoped to play professionally, he decides he is not going to let life defeat him and taking matters into his own hands, plans a new life in another country. Unfortunately, reality refuses to play ball with his plans, alerting him to the feelings of his neglected, baby-obsessed wife, Bonnie, (Williams-Paisley). With a razor-sharp cast (including a wonderful, scene-stealing performance by Stephnie Weir as Bonnie’s best friend), Eden Court paints a vibrant portrait of one man’s journey towards what really matters in life.
